Meisan News July - December 2007


  • Pictures of Purdy at 6 months and Barney (9 1/2) taken over Christmas are in the gallery.
  • Katy (sister of Coaster, Lulla and Florence) has been in touch and she is very happy & well, this is great as we haven't heard from her for over 12 months.
  • Tallulah won Best AVNSC at Oakengates Canine Association Open Show and then Pastoral Group 3.


  • At Burton -On-Trent Kennel Association Show (390 dogs) Tallulah won Best AVNSC under Barry Croft (Malcro), then The Pastoral Group under Alan Archer (Squirelsdray), then won RESERVE BEST IN SHOW under Mr Alec Mackenzie, a wonderful day!!
  • At Sedgley & Gornal Canine Association Show Tallulah won Open and Best Any Non Classified Pastoral under Mrs Duna Jones (Erjon).
  • Tallulah competed at the Pets As Therapy (PAT) Show Dog Stakes Grand Final held at the Palace Hotel in Buxton, Derbyshire. she didn't win but enjoyed her day despite narrowly missing getting snowed in! Pictures of the event are in the show photo's gallery.
  • The Midland OES Club has published a calendar for 2008 to raise funds for their welfare and Gabriel, Purdy, Jelly and Tallulah are featured in it.
  • At the Working and Pastoral Breeds of Scotland Championship Show Tallulah was 3rd in Limit and Jelly 3rd in Open. We also went to see Arnie (Meisan Sun of Cathmar). A new picture of Arnie with Sandra is in the gallery.


  • At the South Eastern Club Open Show under judge Ted Lee we enjoyed a very sucessfull day - Tallulah won Best Bitch & BEST IN SHOW while Barney won Best Dog from the verteran class! Jelly won Open Bitch and the brace class was also won by Lulla and Jelly together. What a day! Results, judges critique and pictures are on the club's web site                                                                        


  • The twins (Gabriel & Angelica (Jelly)) celebrated their 3rd birthday on the 26th. 
  • Purdy has started going to puppy classes and is taking everything in her stride, she enjoys going to college with Claire and loves meeting people.
  • At the OES Club of Wales Open Show Tallulah won Limit Bitch, Best Bitch and Res. Best in Show under Brian Anderson (Bobsacres), Barney was 3rd in Veteran Dog or Bitch and Jelly won Open Bitch. 


  • At the Greater London OES Club Barney was once again Best Veteran Dog under Lynnette Small and Tallulah stood 2nd in Limit Bitch.
  • Lottie celebrated her 12th Birthday and the "Sun" litter their 9th Birthdays.
  • Wonderful news  - Amets Morning Sun or Purdy joined the Meisan family today. Claire & Sarah collected her from Cambridge and we would like to thank Zoryana Oliynyk & Ugo Mayor for allowing us to have her. Purdy will soon have her own web page but there are pictures of her in the gallery now. Purdy is the first OES we have owned to have a tail.

JULY 2007

  • The month did not end happily, Holly (M. Sunlite Sumer Puding) was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died shortly after on 23rd July. We are all very upset, Holly belonged to Claire and lived with her in Somerset.
  • Tallulah won the "Pets As Therapy Open Stakes" at the South Wales KA show under top allround judge Frank Kane - this qualifies her for the Stakes Grand Finals in November.
  • Cyril squirrel celebrated his 6th birthday, in the wild he would not have lived to this age.
  • Meisan Moondance (Florence) and her owner Bruce Webster took part in thier first obedience competition at Alton Dog Show and won fifth place in the Pre Beginers Class.
